The nice thing about learning to read is that you don't have to remember everything. It's especially nice around Christmas to go through your Christmas Repertoire. If you have the hang of musescore nowadays, you could just type in the name of your favourite carols and browse through ones that seem workable to you. Remember, that whatever work you put in this year, will pay off for every Christmas you get to enjoy in your life. And some of these pieces just seem to get more beautiful!

One of the most famous pieces to play at Christmas is Beethoven's Ode To Joy.Β Β If you are past the first PianoEasy lessons where you learn chords, technique and memorisation and into you are learning how to read music, you might be able to follow this music arrangement ofΒ Ode To Joy.Β

If you're keen to get it, but still fairly lost on where the anchor notes are and how to read those intervals, then here is an Ode To Joy video that takes you through it.

(And below also are the versions of Ode To Joy and Ode To Blues that the kids learn in the Kids Program).

If you're wondering about the history of this piece, this is a lovely link!

Here also is an easy reading version of Jingle Bells that I think you could work out with this PianoEasy YouTube Tutorial!Β

Ho ho ho ho ho!Β
